Lost Crusader #244 Understanding

Faith is the key that unlocks understanding. This is true regardless of your theology. How you came to be, why you came to be, and your place within it all is a matter of faith—not belief—faith. Faith brings understanding because it is the practical application of belief in real-world conditions.

I believe reading the Bible leads to a greater knowledge of Christianity. However, my knowledge of Christianity will not grow until I do the reading and test what I have read by living it. Faith is that thing which prompts you to begin reading and persist in it while facing difficulties.

Faith is belief put into practice. It gives substance to and provides evidence of belief. Science and faith agree the physical world of our five senses was not fashioned from things visible to the eye. Moreover, all that exists does so by conscious intent.

The idea that a subatomic particle “granted” matter to some energy is no more plausible than Creation by the spoken word. Both say a thinking entity made a choice to create something new and from that choice came our world and us. One belief is not scientific and the other made up. No matter how you label the active parts, the world exists, and it comes from things we can’t see, that is a matter of faith.

If faith explains the universe, does it not stand to reason it may explain a great many more things? Like why we have this inescapable idea of right and wrong, why we feel guilty for transgressing it, and why people spend so much time and energy trying to destroy that idea?

Faith gives me boundless hope because if God created a universe from invisible things, He really can make me into the perfect reflection of Christ that He wants me to be. I can’t see it, but God can. By faith, every battle, every success, and every failure I experience today are bringing about that transformation. With all your getting get understanding,
