I'm older now but still runnin' against the wind

The lyrics of the song have a special meaning for me today. I have just committed to six books with House of Honor. They are already working to produce two of my books, the first of which is tentatively set to launch in January 2021.
We spent yesterday in a meeting scheduling production and launch dates for these books. Yeah, deadlines and commitments. It’s a tough schedule, but I love it. Writing, for me, is more about living than working.
This was especially true at our Open Mic last Tuesday where we shared our stories with friends in a mini refresher course on humanity. I have friends whom I cannot disagree with, but not on that stage. If you do offer criticism it is given and received for growth in our art.
Life is not to be measured in how much we seem to be loved, but in how much we love.
